Avagant

Sky gagged and held his stomach ngh...yup...that's definitely not right..." he cleared his throat and stood upright. He clapped his hands together before waving one around and over his head. A soft blue fog drifted down from above and around him, which quickly dissipated as it got closer to the ground and Sky took another breath in, letting out a sigh of relief, "that should do it some good for now..." he said with another sigh. In a small vicinity around Sky the air was different, it felt mildly humid and smelled of sap and rain. He slowed his pace behind Tanalitu to avoid interfering with Tanalitu's senses but he kept with the group as the moved. Daybreak looked intently at the town before he began moving with the party and Desire kept close to him as they headed to the harbor.

The road gradually slopes down towards the harbor. Business as usual down here, except all the dock workers seem to be looking ill, unaware of the strangeness going on. There are no boats parked around here, with instead, many of the dockhands spend time fishing, with not much success this time. Tanalitu waves at a few individuals but maintains his vigil, walking towards the beginnings of the docks.

Kyuubi looks around the docks"Don't suppose this is how things are around d here normally." He crossed an arm over his face to mask the scent "I don't have to live here to see somethings wrong now that we're down here..." he said, looking at one of the workers. "looks like a slow day..." Desire looked out and into the water as they walked. Daybreak slowed his pace some more looking down at his hand, turning it over a couple times and waving his fingers around ocassionally closing his hand into a fist "what do you suppose it could be?" he looked up briefly at Tanalitu before looking back down at his hand.

"Its normally like this around here, except for the strangeness. The people here don't know how to sail and the only one that does learned from the Impossumbles after winning a pretty serious bet. I don't know where he is at this moment, but this harbor is full of the sunken remains of ships that have attempted to sail without the know-how. Of course those sailors survived the sinkings but there is a fair bit of wreckage beneath the water's surface." Tanalitu walks around the edges of the docks, reflecting onto the water.

Daybreak looked up at Tanalitu again and lowered his hand down "but what do you suppose the 'strangeness' is coming from?" he sounded a tad frustrated as he spoke a little louder. Kyuubi glanced at Daybreak "If this is mostly normal, then what's this 'strangeness' that's happening?" He looked into the water as well "and do you suppose it could be fixed?"

Tanalitu turns to look towards the rest of the city. "I believe company is here for you. It is running quite quickly." Tanalitu takes a few more steps around the current dock as the Hollow catches up to the group.

Kyuubi looked over at Tanalitu as he said this, and Daybreak crossed his arms "you'd think with ears that big he'd be a lot better at hearing..." he mumbled. Daybreak suddenly perked up and turned around, looking behind him "Is that...? and at this Kyuubi turned to look as well. "KYUUBI!" the Hollow called out as it bounded up to the group, "the Hollow?" Sky and Desire turned to look as well. Desire looked around...but she didn't see the others that had left with the Hollow, "...but where's the others? she glanced at Sky. "Kyuubi! Bad things! Need pack! Need Kyuubi!" it spoke quickly as it stopped just in front of Kyuubi. Syrix glanced up at Kyuubi who looked down at him before looking back at the Hollow "Calm down. Somethings wrong-" "theres been a lot of that going around." Syrix remarked under his breath. Kyuubi glared at Syrix for a second before he continued "what's wrong? Are the others okay?" He knelt down and placed a hand on the Hollow. The Hollow took a deep breath "others in trouble...Need Kyuubi to know. Observer said warning..." The Hollow looked up at Kyuubi "Observer?" Daybreak questioned to which the Hollow nodded. It took another deep breath, but when it spoke this time, it's voice sounded different, "Something is happening here on Avagant. I do not know what it is. It evades my sight. Another world I have had my eyes on for a while is also being affected. The symbiotic relationships of the world are shifting. Edgarix is struggling immensely too. In your game, keep track of your pieces, and the pieces of your enemies. I am just a spectator. I refuse to play. Tell Kyuubi he must not become a piece in someone else's game. He must be a rallying force for you all. His influence has drastically changed the course of many, many lives and forces exist out there that may try to exert their influence onto him." as it spoke it's voice mimicked that of the Observer's perfectly, which caught most of the group off guard. Kyuubi was very still and he looked down at the ground "Me?" He muttered quietly "why is it always you?" Syrix whispered back "I wish I knew..." Kyuubi looked back at the Hollow "the others...need help! Need Kyuubi! Need everyone!" it looked at the group "quick quick!" it said. "if they're in danger then...We've got to go help them!" Sky stood defiantly "the harbor is going to have to wait." he said looking at the docks. Desire turned to Tanalitu "where did you send them off to again, and can you get us there?"

“Of course. Follow me. I will lead you to Transyl.” Tanalitu ditches his observation of the harbor and begins a quickened pace back towards the city. One thing is made painfully obvious about it though, despite Tanalitu’s efforts, his run is little more than a light jog for everyone else.

Everyone watched Tanalitu for a moment, "You know...im not sure what I expected...but this seems about right..." Syrix whispered sarcastically while looking off to the side. The party jogged behind Tanalitu, except the Hollow which ran swuiftly ahead of the group before realizing the group wasnt moving as fast to which it stopped, turned, and hopped in place "Quick! Quick! it shouted as it hopped. Kyuubi moved up to Tanalitu's side "perhaps you could give directions and we can meet you up ahead?" Kyuubi asked as he matched Tanalitu's speed, "or perhaps is there a ride we could take?" He glanced behind him.

Tanalitu slows to a halt before relaying the instructions to Kyuubi. He glances around for a moment before pointing the group to an alley off to their left. “You can get to the proper street through there. Lets be careful.” Tanalitu begins to head towards the alleyway.

The group turns to the alleyway, following close to Tanalitu, the Hollow occasionally running faster than the group but stops short distances away realizing that the group isn't moving as fast as it. Daybreak looks up at Desire, with a quizzical expression, as she places a hand on his shoulder and pulls him closer while they walk. Daybreak looks down at her hand and up at her again "...uhh...s-so where are we going again?" he asks, turning his attention away from Desire, his expression still that of confusion.

"Transyl." Tanalitu turns down to a busy street, but quickly moves into another alley near a cart with the broken wheel.

Daybreak moves away from Desire slightly, though her hand still rests on his shoulder "You remember where to go once we get there, right?" Sky asked the Hollow. The Hollow looked up at Sky and gave a firm nod "Yes! Hollows remember!" it replied "Transyl first. Then go to house." it bounded over the cart's wheel as they passed it "Just pass the other Hollow." it glanced back at Sky for a moment. "other...?"

Not far from the alley, two birds were seen finishing off the last bit of bagel. Tanalitu pays them no mind and climbs over a large pile of bricks leading to another large street.

"Does it have to be so convoluted just to get there?" Daybreak glanced over at the birds as they passed by, "because it feels like were just running in circles. " he looked over at Kyuubi. "Avagant...confusing..." the Hollow responded "I trust Tanalitu is taking us there as fast as he possibly can, But the Hollow is right." Kyuubi replied as he looked back at Daybreak "If getting to where we are already is anything to go off of, navigating Avagant has got to be...complicated at best..." he scratched the back of his head

Before reaching the street, Tanalitu stops. “Close your eyes and walk from here on out. Please just listen to me.” Tanalitu turns back to the street and begins his walk.

The Hollow didnt hesitate to follow Tanalitu's directions as it walked forward. Everyone turns to each other and nodded in understanding before following Tanalitu's instructions, except Daybreak who hesitated for a moment, looking rather frustrated again, before deciding it would be better to do as he was told and closed his eyes.

It was eerily silent and generally unnerving to be on, but the street was quick enough and soon the group felt grass beneath their feet. Tanalitu walks around and hands each a set of coins. “Put these on your eye lids and gently walk forward, then we’ll be in Transyl.”

The members of the group all did what Tanalitu said once again, though some of them hesitated for a moment, either to process what had just been told to them, to think about why they had to put coins on their face or, in Syrix's case, wonder if Tanalitu also had to put coins on his eyelids too, considering Tanalitu doesnt even have eyes.

The air was suddenly thick and heavy. The grass was wet. "You guys can open your eyes now." The group saw the surroundings of Transyl, the tree in the middle, the thing siting there, and the open door to Frank's house.

The Hollow was the first to take off towards the house as soon as it could open its eyes again, "Quick! Nearly there!" it shouted as it sprinted towards the house. Kyuubi and the others briefly looked around but wasted no time taking in the sights before taking off after the Hollow. Daybreak started lagging behind as he ran with the group, his pace momentarily slowed as he passed by the strange figure. He looked at the figure, almost coming to a complete stop, as he passed it "...is...are you?" he began muttering, but was quickly interrupted by Desire who took his hand and was pulling him along "Come on! No time! We're almost there!" She said "wha- uh...right!" Daybreak replied, looking taken aback as he was pulled behind Desire.
The Hollow ran into the house hopping up to where the veil was when it had left earlier to get the rest of the group, it stuck out it's front paw to see if the veil was still able to be passed through as it waited for everyone else to catch up.

Tanalitu enters the house and exchanges pleasantries with the denizens. The Hollow's paw passed into the veil with no issue. The weird animalistic scientist gave a disapproving growl at the new people, but the giant stuffed animal was only yet more confused by yet more company.

The group came running into the house and looked around, noticing the residents of the building before noticing the Hollow's position. Kyuubi being the first of the group to enter, hesitated as he looked between the two of them as he thought about trying to explain what was going on, but he didnt have the time to say something before the Hollow called out again. "Here! Kyuubi! HERE!" it shouted out as the rest of the team funneled into the room. Kyuubi turned his attention to the Hollow, noticing the veil and the Hollow's arm elbow deep in it and briefly turned back to the stuffed animal and the feral man "I-I'm sorry for bursting in unannounced, but there's no time!" He said quickly to them before running at a surprising speed over to the veil which the Hollow had jumped into moments before he himself climbed in. The group followed closely behind. Sky dashed past the two, "Lovely place you've got!"  he said before leaping into the veil. Daybreak was still being pulled along by Desire, though he was running to keep up now, and he glanced over at the duo looking even more confused than before but decided to just ignore it as they all climbed in through the portal.

What used to be the Observer is hunched over, growling occasionally with its new massive jaws quickly opening and closing every so often. What used to be the Bane of Paradoxes is still bumping into a very destroyed bookshelf, with notebooks and journals spread all over the floor. The destroyed lab was barely illuminated and Tanalitu had not crossed the veil behind the group.

Tide turned his attention, briefly, over to Kyuubi as he and the Hollow climbed in through the veil. His smirk became a smile and he laughed "Why Kyuubi! Your sudden arrival is much earlier than I thought it would be!" he looked back over at what remained of the Observer "why, the party hasnt even begun yet!" he added on with a smug chuckle. Life and Shade glanced over at Kyuubi "thank goodness! You got to him okay!" Life spoke to the Hollow with relief. Kyuubi grabbed his swords and took a stand next to the three of his friends as in came the rest of them."We heard you were in trouble! Whats-" Sky started to say, however he cut himself off as he took a moment to scan the room "...never mind, I think I see the problem..." he said, running up to Kyuubi's side. Desire and Daybreak hopped into the room noticing the commotion by the bookshelf first in confusion before standing with their companions, now covering all sides of Kyuubi with their positioning. "You couldn’t stay out of trouble for just ten minutes?" Desire said sarcastically "what can I say. It follows me everywhere I go now that I'm with you guys." Tide replied. Daybreak looked between the two and even glanced up at Kyuubi "Well then...whos that supposed to be then?" he asked gesturing to the now changed observer. "well he didn’t call himself a friend or an ally..." Shade replied, looking at Daybreak for a moment...and then again, a bit longer the second time before looking back at the Observer. "but he sure felt like one..." Life sighed looking down and away for a moment. Daybreak looked, what was once, the Observer up and down sizing him up before stepping forward, adjacent and a bit in front of Kyuubi "You look pretty worse for wear if im being honest..." he crossed his arms and tilted his head as he looked at this being in front of him "though I suppose you aren’t supposed to look 'good' now are you?" he leaned all his weight on one leg and leaned back a tad, looking generally un-threatened by this thing with the gaping maw as his tails swished, his face looked more curious than upset.
