"R-really? How can you tell?" Kyuubi seemed surprised as if he was pulled out of a thought or dream.

"Your eyes. They seem puzzled. Perhaps the Nodes could help." Pseudo said as he stood up.

"What's a... Nood?" he asked

"Node. There are three in the city. They help... Him... a lot. Perhaps they could help you." Pseudo replied.

"They can read minds? Or faces?" Kyuubi seemed almost worried now for some reason that 'Hyrax' didn't seem to know

"They can read minds, faces, futures, fates, possible outcomes... You name it." Pseudo explained. "He... Listens to them, so they must work."

"..." Kyuubi ether seemed lost in thought or just seemed interested in something els although he seemed to hear him.

"Oh my goodness!" Pseudo exclaimed suddenly. "What time is it?"

"I don't know, is there a clock or something?" Kyuubi looked around trying to find a clock or something that tells time

"No time. We got to go!" Pseudo chuckled at his pun as he ran for the elevator, already packed with Rax of various elemental types.

Kyuubi runs after him and also hops in the elevator waiting for it to start

The dragon takes off and the elevator stops at the city level in seconds flat. The Rax retreat to their houses and Pseudo pulls Kyuubi into a nearby house. The dragon lets go of the fountain and leaves. All is quiet.

"What is this place?" Kyuubi asked "is this the Nodes place?"

"No. This is a Rax's house." A Pyrax hopped happily. "They love visitors." A bell tolled in the distance. "Curfew..."

"So who all is comeing to the curfew?" asked Kyuubi

"Everyone except Necraxes, Shadraxes and certain forms of Hyrax. They work at night. You're in the wrong area, now that I think about it. We'll wait for Hyrax Escort to come around and we'll have it take us to the Nodes first, then to your room. It won't be long now." Pseudo sighed. He hung a lantern indicating the Escort to stop there. Necraxes and Shadraxes strolled out of their houses and proceeded to unknown locations. Several passed by the windows. PseudoHyrax turned to the Pyrax and proceeded to converse in the strange language. The Pyrax left and returned with three cups of tea. The trio entered the small living room and sat in decent sized chairs, drinking away.

"Wait did you say 'my room'?" Kyuubi asked after a couple of sips.

"Yes. You have a room here." Pseudo sips. Soft footsteps could be heard outside. "The escort will be arriving soon."

Kyuubi seemed to be blankly starring at something taking sips every now and then, it seemed as if he was reflecting on some distant memory.

"Your eyes are doing it again." Pseudo sipped. The footsteps stopped. "It's here. Time to go. Thanks again, my friend, but we best be off now." The Pyrax hopped and pseudo went for the door. Kyuubi and Pseudo stepped outside onto the hand of an armored giant. They were lifted up and carried to a doorway in the front of the city. The giant dropped them off and walked away. Pseudo walked in.

Kyuubi followed pseudo in sort of half there half lost in thought.

The room opened up to a blank space. Looking back, you couldn't even tell there was a door. On the left was a statue. White. With black eyes. On the right was a black statue. With white eyes. In the middle was a grey statue with one white and one black eye. "Ask them what troubles you." Pseudo exited the room, waiting outside.

"Um, he-hello? Um... I'm not sure what to say."

A voice, identical to Kyuubi's replies. "Say what you must. Something is concerning you. You'd feel better talking about it."

"I'm being reminded of something from long ago..." Kyuubi hesitated, pseudo said they could read minds, doesn't that meen the already knew?
