Company and Calamity

Everyone was launched away, again. "I'm so sick of being thrown around." Shade said standing back up, "SKY!" Desire shouted looking up at Sky who was flying through the air because of GrandHyrax's throw, he seemed almost asleep, he fell to the floor, Tide caught him with a ball of water and set him down on the ground, "ugh...I feel dizzy..." Sky moaned, he stood up slowly. Kyuubi was flung away before he made contact, he fell and stumbled across the floor, he staggered back to his feet. When the core started pulling everything in they all looked up and panicked, they all ran in the opposite direction of the core. Kyuubi stabbed one of his blades into the ground and held onto it, Syrix climbed around Kyuubi's arm and wrapped himself around his hand and the sword. Daybreak started to get lifted of the ground, he was too light, he started to get pulled in, he cried out and Kyuubi managed to grab his hand before he made it to far "I gotcha!" Kyuubi shouted to Daybreak. Life was panting, he turned around quickly, he shouted and the energy he stored up from before was released as a beam that was aimed at the core and propelled him further away from it

The core takes the hit and seems completely unaffected, but the attack startled Hyrax enough for him to close his body and take a step back.

Sky charged at Hyrax once more as he was the fastest to react, he made it over to him with incredible speeds and struck him several times in different places before pushing off of him and landing where he stood before his attack, Life staggered back on his feet, he put his hands on his knees and took deep breaths, "he's over working himself..." Desire said to herself, "Life, you need to rest, I'm not sure how well you can do that here and now, but you need to try." she spoke with the best calming voice she could make considering the circumstances, she did however sound supriseingly calm, Daybreak ran over to Desire's side, "Don't worry Desire, I'll try and protect him as best as I can." Daybreak said, his voice sounded shaky but he seemed confident, he stood in front of Life in a sort of battle position.

"Still willing to go on I see. Good. You've earned this. You do your best... 'Cause I'll show you mine!" The HyraxColossus took a few steps back before his axe dissolved into strange, tiny shards. Soon, the entire body did the same, leaving nothing but core amid a cloud of metal pieces floating around it.

They all looked around, they weren't sure what to make of what was happening. Daybreak's stance shifted and he looked around, he put a hand up to his head "w-what happened?" he looked around constently, "I...I don't know..." Kyuubi responded "but...but don't let your guard down...Something is definitely going to happen." Kyuubi wasn't sure what, but he knew something was. Three members of the group where a little worn out, Life tried taking this moment to rest, though he want sure how long it would last, Sky took some deep breaths, Shade didn't do much but he still took slow and deeper breaths then before.

The core flashed once before all the pieces began to click back together around the core.. The new parts started to look... alive and not metal. Soon, a pair of legs were formed, followed by a body, two absolutely massive arms, a long tail, and a head. This beast was even larger then the Colossus. Head to toe and to the tip of its tail, the grey beast was covered in large quills. The tip of its tail seemed to twist apart and fix itself again and again. The head, resembling Hyrax without horns or tusks, opened it's giant mouth and bellowed, causing the group to be thrown back against the wall, again. Easily, this beast was beyond double the height of the colossus, but even it didn't reach half way to the ceiling.

They all crashed against the door they came through, they all looked up at this new being "I would like to go home now..." Syrix wimpered. Kyuubi stood up "What is that?" Kyuubi backed up but only bumped into the door, Daybreak frantically tried opening the door "its good to know that I'm not the only one asking that..." Sky remained sitting but decided it'd be better if he were ready to run, so he stood up. Everyone got back onto their feet but didn't know where it run. Still in a panic, Daybreak's rings on his wrists, neck, and ankles all started creeping across Daybreak's body, slowly.

"Tell me, Keaton. Do dragons yet breathe fire? Or have they found something more... Volatile?" Hyrax then spews a massive torrent of magma from his mouth at the group. The temperature in the room instantly grew sweltering.

Kyuubi jumped in front of the group he slammed the ends of the two swords together "DRAGON CLAW!" he shouted, the two blades fused and the handles extended forming a dual naginata the weapon spun faster and withstood the heat and force of the magma and he managed to protect the group. "I owe you no answers about my people!" he shouted. He slammed one end of the 'Dragon claw' into the ground, the magma near by them solidified, Kyuubi somehow made a platform from the cooled magma, they rises up a bit higher. Kyuubi started rising off the floor, a firey aura began swirling around Kyuubi as he slowly raised off the floor. A pair of wings unfolded from behind Kyuubi that sprouted from his back.This form, Hyrax had seen once before. The group looked up in awe and confusion. Kyuubi spun the naginata and then held it behind his back

The temperature cooled back to normal and the network lines from Ivan's attack covered every the ground and walls before springing off and wrapping into a cage around Kyuubi, but gave him plenty of space to continue his attack. Stone pillars erupted from the ground and surrounded the rest of the group like tent.

Kyuubi looked surprised at first but then smirked. For a second it could be seen that Kyuubi suddenly was covered in the same tattoos from before but then he vanished from the cage. "Its not that easy." Kyuubi was floating behind Hyrax though it seemed he was already there before he vanished from the cage. "you might as well remove the cage." he spun the Dragon's claw and gets ready to charge. "w...what do we do?..." Daybreak whispered.

The quills across Hyrax’s body begin to launch at Kyuubi. When one disconnects, another simply moves up to take its place. Hyrax’s tail sways, like it wants to do something, but seems incapable of anything ither than untwisting and retwisting. Back with the group, the stones sprout little flowers, of which the spores start to slowly fall out of.

Oddly enough the quills seemed to pass right through Kyuubi as though he wasn't even there, he did not move from his position, suddenly Hyrax was hit with a torrent of fire from behind him where another Kyuubi was floating, his hand protected outward showing that he, in fact, was the cause of the attack "I do love illusions, don't you?" he smirked. He spun the Dragon's claw around and pointed one end at Hyrax. Back with Daybreak and the others they looked around them at the strange flowers "don't like that" Sky said, he swung his arms outward and formed a dome around himself and the group, Tide did the same and the dome grew bigger, Shade joined in and the dome ripped the stone tend appart with immense force flinging pieces of flowers and rocks flying in every direction. They all gave each other space. Life swung his arms around a couple times and the platform they stood on expanded with vines and what appeared to be planks of wood made from bark of trees. The platform gave them more than enough space to move about. Desire swung her arms upward and a few roses sprung out of the platform in different places Life clapped his hands together once before slamming his palm down to the ground they stood on. Energy surged through the vines and what seemed to be watermelons grew in the same places as the roses. They all took battle stances "we might not be able to attack directly like he can but...we can at least give Kyuubi some support." Desire clenched her fist and then swung it upward, the roses let out a scent though not the same one as usuall. The roses were a orangeish color this time, the scent they released was exhilarating and powerfull, the group took a deep breath in through the nose, when they opened their eyes the same Orange tint on the roses was in their eyes, almost like fire. They all looked more serious and angry than before, they all took a stance side by side with one another forming almost a wall, "bring it on!" Desire shouted aggressively. Kyuubi started to grin.

The flames from Kyuubi make their mark before a spine seems to grow into a giant crystal. The fire is sucked into the crystal. Hyrax looks uncomfortable as the damage is changed into a “damage-over-time” effect. Hyrax, happy to accept the request of the group, spits six, small black balls. They stop all around the group before exploding into black holes. The gravity slowly begins to stretch the group, threatening to take off their limbs. In a quick flash of bright blue, the roses and fives seem to grow frostbite and whither. Looking back to Kyuubi, Hyrax blinks his eyes and after a white flash, Kyuubi now sees the world as nothing more than an empty box, slowly moving in to crush him. From an outside perspective, Kyuubi appears to go comatose.

The group was shocked at the sudden black holes, as they started to get pulled in the vigor from the roses kicked in, their strength seemed to have doubled or tripled, they pulled away from the black holes slowly but surely, Shade pulled his arms back and then trust them forward and he wrapped at one of the black holes. He was sucked in however after a few seconds the black holes seemed to merge together to form one, Shade pulled back out of the newly formed one begun putting his hands together, it looked as if he was crushing an invisible item, the black hole seemed to condense and get smaller and smaller until it was the size of a marble, the fire still in Shade's eyes despite the roses having wilted he looked at Hyrax and with much ferocity he spun around and launched the marble sized black hole at Hyrax but before it makes contact it stops right in front of him like it did with the group but does not burst back open like before instead it seems to dissapear. The group shakes off the strange feeling of being stretched in different directions and takes their stances once more. Shade lands in front of the rest of the group and back flips back in to position. Kyuubi's eyes flash even brighter green than before for a moment, he blinks and swings his free hand up to his face and then away sending a shockwave outwards, "Don't try to decide me! I see through your Lies!" he spun the Dragon's claw once more and he charges forwards at incredible speed, he smashes one end of his weapon at Hyrax before striking repetitively with both sides as he flys up and around Hyrax striking in different places, each strike levels a burning sensation like fire but does not actually contain fire magic. He flys to the side of the room opposite of the group and takes the same position as before. Tide spins around with his arms outward and the frostbite from the attack earlier forms water and gravitated towards Tide, he continues to spin and the water he collects condenses around where his hands are and soon enough Tide and the water turns into a top with piercing blades. He stops spinning and, having collected plenty of water, strikes a sort of pose with one arm in front of him and the other behind him, the water formed huge blades around his hands, he had created even more water than there was frost bite. He looked at Hyrax but took a moment to look over at Sky, he nodes and turned back to look at Hyrax.

Hyrax seemed... impressed? Hyrax took a giant leap backwards. Now everyone was infront of him. There was a loud rumbling noise before Hyrax slowy opened his mouth. Like a vaccuum, the mouth begins to suck in anything in the room. Loose debris is the frist to go. It was getting difficult to stay in the air and even harder to stand on the ground. Deep in Hurax’s throat, sixteen different colors began to form and swirl around one another. Whether this was an attack or an opening, one things was for sure, someone was going to get hurt. The tip of Hyrax’s tail twists and unwinds further instilling the notion that it was difficult to keep the NanoGrandHyrax formed.

Kyuubi started to get pulled in. Desire planted her feet, quite literally, her feet were wrapped in vines Desire formed a vine around her arm and used it as a whip. She launched one end of it out at Kyuubi, the vine coiled around Kyuubi's torso, she let out a grunt from effort as she yanked back, Kyuubi was pulled back towards the group. Desire caught Kyuubi in her arms. Sky swung his right arm upward and flung Tide into the air, Life wrapped everyone else's feet and used a few vines to hold them down by their torsos as well. Tide, now in the air spun flinging water that got pulled towards Hyrax's mouth, he stopped spinning and flung His hands forwards, the water specs turned to ice shards, he continued to fire ice shards as he was getting pulled in, each shard getting larger and larger. Life now launched another vine up at Tide that wrapped around him. The vine started pulling back slowly Tide continued launching ice at Hyrax now suspended in the air being pulled in two different ways as the ice continues to get larger and larger. The vigor from the flower clearly taking effect making him faster and stronger and more aggressive. Kyuubi stabbed one end of the Dragon's claw into the ground to help him stableize better.

Hyrax continues to inhale. The now gargantuan ice blocks smash against Hyrax’s face. He tanks the hit but it’s clear it had an effect.

Desire notices that they had an effect. She Looks at Tide who was still slowly being pulled back. She put her hand up to her chest and closes her eyes, her hand emits the same orangish glow, she puts her hand out in the direction of tide and opens her eyes. The energy flows out from her hand and into Tide. Tide's eyes become an even brighter Orange, he lets out a shout and a burst of energy flairs up around Tide, he got faster and even stronger and much much more ferocious. The ice he was launching was massive and now much sharper and they came in one immediately after the other and Hyrax was being pelted over and over repeditavely non stop from a very angry Tide. Kyuubi looked at this and thought to him self for a moment. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath in, his fire aura seemed to be changeing somehow...

Hyrax fires a beam of all sixteen elements. It rumbles down the room and tears through the ice. Just before hitting the group, everything goes bright. The feeling of being squeezed through a tube was felt on everyone in the group. Then, it was calm. As the light goes away, the room and the position of everyone was reset. The group did seem to take tons of damage and Hyrax seemed to be conpletely fine. ”The battle would be a shame if it ended too quickly.”

They all stood up "wh...what happened?" Sky looked around the vigor seemed to be lost from him it seemed the whole group had lost the Orange tint. Desire staggered a little. Kyuubi looked to Hyrax "we...we reset?" Kyuubi said he looked at the group who all seemed to have been damaged. Daybreak looked at his hands his pupils seemed to be smaller "r-reset..." he stammered he continued to stair at his hands.

The NanoGrandHyrax was indeed ammussed. ”You should he thankful. Had you been hit in full, there would be nothing left of you to heal... Or revive...” Hyrax’s tail shifts. ”Katie has to go through this nearly a hundred times, but I think I’ll let you go with just one.” Unfortunately for the group, there wasn’t a door behind them. Perhaps Hyrax had a different method in mind.

Life shook himself, he seemed to be recovering, "Is this some sort of a game to you?!" Life shouted "you play this game over and over? What is it that you love about torture?" Life grounded his teeth, he put a hand on Kyuubi's shoulder "and you decide to attack your friends? You are willing to kill us?! Are you insane?!" Kyuubi looked at Life and then at his hand, he blinked but did not say anything.

”You think I want to relive the same events time and time again? Katie and I have been doing this since before your multiverse was even brought into existence!” Hyrax grips the ground and it easily tears. ”We’ve been cursed!” Hyrax lifts and throws a chunk of floor at the wall behind the group. Hyrax gives an evil, sadistic chuckle. ”My ‘friends’... Let us continue with this game...” Suddenly, a giant portal opened up and one of the giant hands flew out to scoop up the group. With everyone held tight, it retracted and... threw the group into the entry way to the entire fortress. The hand disappeared. Something was off. The stiarcases and walls. Everything was twisted around and parts of the floor were either missing all together or simply led to another hallway faceing down into the ground.

The group stood back to back with one another they all looked in every direction, they looked around but did not move "great, what happens now." Shade said unamused.
