Company and Calamity

”I would certainly hope Hyrax enjoys all the company he gets. Especially after all the training he personally gave each of us.” Simon looks behind himself at the giant door.

Kyuubi looked to the door, "Hyrax is in there?" the Wyrm slayer started reacting again, Kyuubi's eyes and, pretymuch everything about him returned to the way it was before, "I- I didn't know we were so close." "I assumed those doors were important, I mean, why make doors that large for no reason?" Tide laughed. "he's probably expecting us as well" Life crossed his arms.

”Yeah. You just made short work of the others.” She sighs behind her unsettleinf smileing mask. ”By now you know the drill. To get through you must defeat us: Pip, Magnus, Simon, and Ivan: Hyrax’s Royal Guards!” Pip draws the beast killer and the wyrm slayer as a pair of white wings burst from her back. The triangles around Magnus’ neck detatch and orbit it as they enlongate, resembling the rays of a sun. Shadowy wisps of teal flame ignite in a circle around Simon’s throat. Ivan continues to snooze. ”We are ready when you are.”

The group stumbled backwards in surprise, Daybreak nearly screamed. "woah woah woah! what the!" Syrix shouted. "and there it is. I knew this was gonna happen." Shade sighed, "alright then. I see how it is." Kyuubi was one hundred percent back to normal, he drew his two blades and spun them around, he took a battle stance. "what must be done...""...will have to be done..." Life and Desire took a stance as well. Daybreak took a deep breath, "I didn't want to do this, but because of everything that's happened so far, I guess I expected nothing less..." He sighed, he nervously took his battle stance. "here we go again, alright. Lets go!" Sky stretched and threw a few practice punches, "alright, if I must take you out, then so be it." Tide had taken his natural lack of a battle stance battle stance, "and I won't underestimate you if you don't underestimate me." Tide smirked. "remember. You brought this on yourself..." Shade said, with no expression. Everyone was prepared to fight Hyrax's royal guards "I hope your ready." Kyuubi said "because we won't be holding back." Kyuubi smiled, his teeth showing with his fangs being the most noticeable.

Pip suddenly loses focus and looks at Magnus. ”Really dude? Fine. We’ll do it your way.” Pip makes to first move by dashing towards the group in a surprising burst of speed, brandishing her daggers that seem to be aching for ruin. Magnus begins to stomp around in a rage as his body seems to undergo some sort of turmoil. Simon howls, releasing the wisps into a spiral of flames as the crystals grow larger. Ivan slowly stirrs, reaching for a small dial while remaining fast asleep.

Sky rushed towards Pip almost equal in speed, before he reached Pip, However, he swung his leg around to do a roundhouse kick that sent a burst of wind out to knock Pip back, Kyuubi ran up behind Sky ready for a follow up attack to Sky's attack. "Dude, calm yourself!" Tide said, he did a front flip and shot four spears of ice that turned to water before they hit Magnus, Desire wrapped some vines around her hands and wrists that grew thorns on them, They grew another pair of vines which she used as a pair of whips she spun around elegantly and launched the end of one of the vines at Magnus to whip him after the water hit. Shade made some sort of a cloak that seemed to absorb light making it a physicall shadow. He waved his hand and the Vail wrapped around him and he became a Silhouette except for his eyes, he charged towards Simon, a blade of shadow forms in his hand making a full broad sword of darkness, his position seemed to jump left and right as he picked up speed as he charged. "I don't like where that's going." Life said looking at Ivan. He swung his arms up and a vine shot out of the ground and grabbed the boom box Life swung His right arm to the left and the vine yanked it and swung it to the left. Daybreak retracted a bit looking between people, he put his hands up to the sides of his heads and seemed to mumble something, "shut up...gotta focus...focus... he took a couple breaths. He looked around again at the royal guards

Ivan slumps to the floor, causing the other guards to stop and look at each other. Within seconds, Pip spun herself a cocoon of rock as small flowers and vines released green sparkles all around her. Magnus instanly froze into a large block of ice that glowed bright with light magic. Simon encased hinself in a crystal as stars lined the crystal. Ivan began to stir, slowly feeling for the boombox he no longer held before becoming noticeabley upset. A familiar sensation appeared in the room. It felt like waking up early in the morning, watching a good sunset, and taking a nap under a tree in the early afternoon. A small, very limited, but undeniable passage of time had just appeared in the room. The moment of peace was sadly ruined by a soft yawn as Ivan began rubbing his eyes.

Kyuubi stopped his advance on Pip, as did Shade on Simon, still silhouetted everyone stood for a moment "they've all stopped..." Kyuubi said looking at all the guards, "maybe they're all blocking?" Sky said "don't let your guard down." Desire said cracking one of the rose whips in anticipation for an attack "um, guys. That one didn't stop..." Daybreak pointed to Ivan and they all looked over "I took the box away, I figured it had to be bad news if he is also a foe." Life whispered to the others, "or he was gonna play some sweet music for us." Syrix responded, "Music? I didn't know it was an instrument, What kind of music could you get out of that thing?" Life said gesturing to the boombox that he had flung earlier."hold your ground everyone. And be prepared for anything." no one left their battle positions but they did back up slightly just in case...

Ivan slowly rose to his feet and stretched. He smacked his lips twice and scratched his stomach. His mouth was covered by the collar of the robes and he was really short. ”Who took my music?” His voice was barely even a whisper.

"See, I told you it played music." Syrix said, turning towards Life "he never doubted you" Kyuubi said, he made an expression that very much resembled a Hollow. Life didn't say anything, worried of what might happen if he told the truth so, instead, the group stood awkwardly in silence looking at one another, Life didn't make eye contact with anyone...

Ivan sighed. The room suddenly burst into horrible, deafening tones. The sounds of their heart beats, breathing, and flowing blood was excruciating. Ivan didn’t seem affected.

Kyuubi put his hands up to his ears, he pulled them down in an attempt to stop the sound, Syrix attempted wrapping around Kyuubi's head and ears. Everyone stumbled and held their heads or ears to try and block out the sound, suddenly, along with everything else in the room that was making noise something else was heard by the entire group "Kill him now!" the voice wasn't excruciatingly loud, in fact it seemed normal implying that it was too soft to hear before, "he caused this, I told you KILL HIM!" everyone looked around the room wondering where the voice was coming from "SHUT UP!" Daybreak spoke "You want this to stop? Then Kill the source! Do it and this will be over!" Kyuubi looked at Daybreak "SHUT, UP!" Daybreak said again Daybreak looked at Ivan "I...I BEG YOU...TURN THIS OFF!" he walked forwards a little "FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. TURN THIS OFF!" the black rings on Daybreak were creeping again, slowly expanding over Daybreak, Daybreak was crying, "IT...IT HURTS!" "Then make it stop!" Kyuubi suddenly realized that the strange voice they were hearing that wasn't there before was, in fact, Sunset's...

Upon request, the noise suddenly vanished. Ivan was standing at the far end of the room. His hands glowed with a grey aura. The baubble on his hat glowed a dark green. His feet had a golden aura around them and he sparked with electricity.

Everyone took a deep breath in as they were holding their breaths to prevent sound, Daybreak collapsed to the floor and began panting, the rings retracted back to normal, Daybreak was crying now. Desire ran over to Daybreak, got on both knees and grasped him in a comforting hug, she glaired at Ivan. Eveyone else straightened up, Kyuubi rubbed is ears, he looked at his hands "blood..." he said, Life raced over to Kyuubi "here." Life put his hands on Kyuubi's ears and they shined green. "cover for us." Life said. Everyone else took positions in front of Kyuubi, Life, Desire and Daybreak forming a wall. They all faced Ivan "congratulations." said Sky, he looked super serious "you've just made yourself a target." Sky balled his hands into fists and small tornados swirled around his arms. They took a more defensive position to remain guarding the four.

”I’m always a target, but that’s okay.” Ivan began to move in, what appeared to be some kind of battle dance akin to sleep walking.

Sky rushed so fast he almost teleported right in front of Ivan, he swung his arm around for a punch that was also at extreme speeds as well as with extreme force he wasn't taking any chances.

Ivan is sent flying back by the force, but remains standing. Ivan’s bauble niw swings wildly around his head as his arms flail in wild circles.

"Thanks Life, I feel better now." Kyuubi had recovered and him and Life rejoined in on the battle. Sky burst towards Ivan and began swinging his fists wildly left and right at insane speeds "yah! Two, four, six. Take this!" every time he said a number his speed increased and on the final 'Take this' he did a roundhouse kick with immense strength to knock Ivan across the room.

Ivan is once again, sent flying, but it seems Ivan flew really fast. In fact, only Ivan was moving fast. Everything else seemed to be going in slow motion. Ivan lands and mutters something. His bauble swings towards Sky and super sizes along the way.

Life forms vines that wrap around Sky, Life pulled his arm back and the vine tossed Sky out of the way "woah!" Sky flips through the air, he stops himself in the air and he levitates, suspended in the air. Shade had vanished from the group somehow. Suddenly he appeared behind Ivan, but it felt more like he had been there all along. He tripped Ivan, grappled him and swung him around, and threw him even further away from the group "you should have just slept in." Shade said, he was no longer a silhouette. Daybreak stood up "thanks Desire, I...I feel better now..." he wiped his eyes and sniffed. Now Desire and Daybreak where back up and ready.

Ivan recovered once again, his giant bauble swung back around in a wide arch as the sound of thunder shakes the room. Electric clouds quickly form at the ceiling and black lines in a technological pattern explode across the floor, but do not appear to do anything. Ivan begins to move his hands in circular patterns that look similar to Detrax’s movements.

Shade covers himself in the dark cloak again, he turns and nods at the rest of the group. Sky, Life, Desire and Tide look at eachother, then They turn back to Shade and nod back. They close their eyes. Shade charges at Ivan but just before he reaches him he leaps over him. Shade fires a ball of dark energy out just as he reaches the peak of his jump. He comes back down and as he lands on the ground he sinks into it forming a dark shadow on the ground where he landed. He rose back up and charged forwards and hit Ivan with extreme speeds, though, his silhouette seemed different, it's shape was similar to Sky, as the Shade hit Ivan once another figure appeared behind him, the shadow that resembled Sky sank into the ground, the shadow that appears behind Ivan lashed him in the back with a pair of thorny vines made of darkness, or where they? This shadow resembled Desire. Kyuubi noticed this, he looked over at Sky and Desire but realized that they weren't where he thought they where, he looked around the room but couldn't see them anywhere, neither could Daybreak.

Ivan is brought to his knees from the attacks. His hands make a simple pushing motion as he mutters something. A giant ring of energy is blasted towards the folks in front of Ivan. The cloud unleashed a barrage of balls of thunder and the lines on the ground eploded into rays of data magic. The bauble made a wide swing and came crashing back towards the group. They were being attacked from all possible sides. Ivan seemed kinda sad in a way.

Kyuubi and Daybreak where separated by the burst of energy from the ground Kyuubi stuck his swords above him in an X position they absorbed one of the balls of thunder and his swords infused themselves with lightning, he then swung at the other balls of electricity to deflect them away. Daybreak frantically dodged as he desperately summoned energy from his hands. The energy was in the form of light and he used this as an attempt to shield himself from the energy raining from the sky. His energy was barely wide enough to cover him like a small umbrella and he crouched, the energy explodeing from the floor made it hard for him to move from this one spot so instead, he was going to fortify himself. Daybreak was just out of reach of the bauble but Kyuubi was not, he was focused on deflecting the energy from above that he almost didn't see it coming, he attempted to dodge but got knocked back by it. He landed on his back nearly on one of the lines of energy that was coming out of the ground, he staggered back to his feet. The blast of energy Ivan sent out in front of him knocked a shadow of Sky away as it came up but when it hit the ground it sank back into the ground again. A shadow of Tide rose up and brought up a shield of water over them to absorb the thunder from above. The shadow of Desire took another crack at Ivan from behind as a Shade shadow attacked from the side. Daybreak looked up and saw Ivan, the shadows and Kyuubi, "I've...I've gotta help someone. But who? Who do I chose..." he looked between the shadows and Kyuubi. They were blocked by a wall but that doesn't mean he can't get to them, some how "Hang on! I'm coming to help!" he shouted through the wall...he swung his arms out above him and got on his stomach, the shield expanded over him, the shield appeared to be damaged. Daybreak crawled around in an attempt to find a path that could reach Kyuubi.

But, everything stopped, as if frozen in time. There was a gentle ringing noise, like an alarm clock. It rang for ten seconds before there was a quick flash. Everyone was standing by the entrance. Ivan was back by the far aide of the room. He was holding his boombox as he yawned. Gentley and slowly, Ivan lay down and fell back asleep. It was as if the fight never even happened, but Pip, Magnus, and Simin were still in their protective spots and Ivan was once again at peace. The flow of time had drifted away and the usual constant and stagnant feeling of a world without time had returned.
