It does not affect the undead, nonliving, or plants, nor those that are poison resistant. Static Discharge: Releases electricity to a single target within a 25m range. Triangle Spells: Airstrike: Spawns a small tornado Lightning Bolt: Throws a bolt of lightning. Silence: Eliminates all sound within 5m of the caster. Bear in mind that demonic monsters ignore silence effects. Square Spells: Deflect Missiles: Deflects a projectile moving towards the caster in an upwards arc away from the caster. Magic Dart: Throws a bolt of pure astral energy at the target within 20m. Shock: Fires a bolt of electricity. Sting: Fires a toxic dart, dealing a small amount of poison damage and possibly poisoning the target. Enemies with poison resistance (such as demons and the undead) take no damage. Fulminant Prism: This spell conjures a prism which channels magical energy from its surroundings and unleashes it after a short while as a violent explosion of arcane force. Iron Shot: A single target spell that hurls a large and heavy metal bolt at the target. Poison Arrow: This spell hurls a magical arrow coated with the most vile and noxious toxin. Poisonous Cloud: This spell conjures forth a great cloud of lethal gasses. Pentagon Spells: Conjure Ball Lightning: Creates a spherical ball of lightning that will explode after a few turns damaging anything with 5m. Compared to most other projectiles, these orbs travel at a relatively slow pace. Line Spells: Ensorcelled Hibernation: This spell attempts to lower its target's metabolic rate, inducing hypothermic hibernation, knocking them out for two posts. The undead are not effected. Slow: This spell slows the actions of a creature. Sure Blade: Temporarily makes melee attacks with a short blade more accurate. Confuse: This spell induces a state of bewilderment and confusion in a creature's mind. The undead are not effected. Inner Flame: This spell fills an enemy with an intense fire, to be explosively released upon death. The size of the explosion caused is dependent on the size of the target. Triangle Spells: Spectral Weapon: Summons an allied spectral clone of the caster's wielded melee weapon to aid. Attacks at the same time as the caster. Cause Fear: This spell causes fear in those near to the caster. The undead are not effected. Enslavement: This spell causes an otherwise hostile creature to fight on your side for a while. (Monsters only. No Player Characters.) Polymorph: This spell randomly alters the form of another creature. Fulminant Prism: This spell conjures a prism which channels magical energy from its surroundings and unleashes it after a short while as a violent explosion of arcane force. Be warned that the prism is extremely fragile and any damage caused to it may result in premature detonation! Silence: Eliminates all sound within 5m of the caster. Bear in mind that demonic monsters ignore silence effects. Weaponized Dance: This spell causes a weapon held in the caster's hand to dance into the air and strike the caster's enemies. It will not function on magical staves and certain willful artifacts; any abilities that require evocation skill won't be used either. Square Spells: Invisibility: This spell temporarily turns the caster invisible. Mass Confusion: This spell causes confusion in all who gaze upon the caster. The undead are not effected. Metabolic Englaciation: This spell tries to lower the metabolic rate of every creature in the caster's vicinity, slowing all those who are not resistant to cold. The Undead are not affected. Pentagon Spells: Darkness: This spell dims the light of the area, reducing the range of vision. The area affected is quite large and it doesn't have sharp edges, thus the effect is unlikely to alert anyone not very close to the caster. Discord: This spell drives nearby creatures into an insane frenzy, mercilessly attacking anything and everything nearby with great strength and speed. (Player Characters are not effected.) Dot Spells: Freeze: This spell temporarily freezes a creature. Line Spells: Freezing Aura: Temporarily gives a weapon an ice enchantment. Throw Frost: Throws a small bolt of frost to a range of 25m. Triangle Spells: Ozocubu's Armour: Covers the caster in a layer of ice armor temporarily. Condensation Shield: This spell causes a disc of dense vapour to condense out of the air surrounding the caster. It acts like a normal shield, but its density (and therefore stopping power) depends upon the caster's skill with Ice Magic. Summon Ice Beast: This spell calls forth a beast of ice to serve the caster. Throw Icicle: Sends forth an icicle to a range of 30m. Can be melted with the use of Line-Level or above fire spells. Square Spells: Bolt of Cold: This spell hurls a great bolt of ice and frost. Freezing Cloud: This spell conjures up a large cloud of lethally cold vapor. Line Spells: Corpse Rot: This spell rapidly accelerates the decomposition of any corpses lying around the caster, emitting in the process a foul miasmic vapor, which eats away at the life force of any creature it envelops. Lethal Infusion: Temporarily causes a weapon to exhaust an opponent when struck. Sublimation of Blood: This spell converts flesh, blood and other bodily fluids into magical energy. Regeneration: This spell dramatically but temporarily increases the caster's recuperative abilities, while also increasing the rate of food consumption. Triangle Spells: Animate Dead: This spell causes the dead to rise up and serve the caster; every corpse within sight of the caster is affected. Control Undead: This spell attempts to enslave any low-level undead in the vicinity of the caster. Square Spells: Agony: Cuts the Vitality/HP of the target in half, though it may never directly cause death. Twisted Resurrection: This spell allows its caster to imbue a mass of deceased flesh with a magical life force. Casting this spell involves the assembling of several corpses together; the greater the combined mass of flesh available, the greater the chances of success. Bolt of Draining: This spell hurls a deadly bolt of negative energy, which drains the life from any living creature it strikes. The Undead take no damage. Simulacrum: This spell uses a piece of flesh in hand to create a replica of the original being out of ice. Pentagon Spells: Necromutation: This spell first transforms the caster into a lich - a powerful skeletal figure. The caster also gains some of the more dubious benefits of having an undead body, such as a vulnerability to holy weapons and an inability to consume potions. Hexagon Spells: None

It does not affect the undead, nonliving, or plants, nor those that are poison resistant. Triangle Spells: Poison Weapon: Temporarily gives a weapon a poison enchantment. Spider Form: This spell temporarily transforms the caster into a venomous, spider-like creature. Intoxication: This spell works by converting a small portion of brain matter into alcohol, confusing all intelligent humanoids within the caster's view (although non-living creatures will suffer no negative effects). It is strongly focused on the caster, however, and so poison resistance will not protect them. It is frequently used as an icebreaker at wizard parties. Toxic Radiance: This spell causes the caster to radiate toxic energy, continuously inflicting poison on everything nearby for as long as the spell lasts. Shadow Creatures: This spell weaves a creature from shadows and threads of ethereal matter. Summon Demon: This spell opens a gate to the realm of Pandemonium and draws forth one of its inhabitants to serve the caster for a time (although the demon's servitude is by no means guaranteed). Square Spells: Demonic Horde:This spell calls forth a small swarm of small demons to do battle with the caster's foes (and sometimes with each other!). Pentagon Spells: Summon Greater Demon: This spell calls forth one of the greater demons of Pandemonium to serve the caster. Beware, for the spell binding it to service may not outlast that which binds it to this world! Malign Gateway: This spell tears a gash in reality, creating a self-sustained but thankfully temporary portal to an unknown, tainted otherworld. Which dastardly denizens of this place might choose to poke their tentacled appendages through, nobody knows, but certainly nobody would want to be nearby when it happens. "You all know where this is going..." -A wise prophet. Summon Hydra: This spell summons a many-headed hydra to fight alongside the caster for a short time, though its compliance is not guarenteed. Summon Very Ugly Thing: This spell summons a mutated otherworldly creature to the caster's aid. "It was SO ugly that everyone died. The end." -Sir Mackelmore XVI - King of Ettenmarch - Thrift District. Summon Horrible Things: This spell opens a gate to the Abyss and calls through one or more hideous abominations from that dreadful place.
